The Van Rysel RCR-F Pro Dura-Ace Di2 Team Edition didn't arrive at its final form through guesswork. More than two years of development — CFD simulation, wind tunnel validation, and direct input from the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team throughout the 2024 World Tour season — shaped every surface and tube profile. The result is a bike Van Rysel designed explicitly for high-speed, lower-gradient racing: the Roubaix parcours, the cobbles of Flanders, the long flat finishes of San Remo. Sam Bennett, who raced it through the 2025 season, described the acceleration as "linear even above 68 km/h." That's a sprinter telling you the chassis didn't flinch.
At the heart of the RCR-F Pro's performance advantage is its aerodynamic architecture. Working in collaboration with Swiss Side — the aerodynamics specialists also behind the Hadron² wheel program — Van Rysel's engineers produced a frame that delivers 13 watts of savings over the standard RCR at 45 km/h. The Super High Modulus carbon layup incorporates 60T carbon fiber reinforcements at the front end, making the head tube area 7% stiffer than the RCR — a targeted upgrade that sharpens steering response in sprints and improves power transfer through the final meters. The frame is designed and assembled in Lille, in the heart of French Flanders.
The Van Rysel combo cockpit — handmade in Italy by Deda — was developed alongside the frame and went through the same CFD and wind tunnel refinement, contributing an additional 2.7-watt aerodynamic gain over the standard setup. The Team Edition build layers in Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 throughout: R9250 derailleurs, R9270 hydraulic disc brakes and shifters, and an R9200 crankset with a dual-sided power meter already built in. Wheels are Swiss Side Hadron² 625 Ultimate front and rear, paired with a Continental Aero 111 TLR 700×26 at the front and a Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR 700×28 at the rear. The complete bike weighs 7.5 kg in size M.
Design Benefits
- 13-watt aerodynamic advantage: Van Rysel's collaboration with Swiss Side — CFD modeling and wind tunnel testing over more than two years — produced a 13-watt saving over the standard RCR at 45 km/h. That's a verified, measurable number that places the RCR-F Pro among the fastest road bikes in the professional peloton.
- 7% stiffer at the head tube: 60T carbon fiber reinforcements at the front end increase head tube stiffness by 7% over the RCR. The result is more direct steering in sprints, sharper cornering feedback, and better power transfer through the contact point where it matters most — the front end under load.
- Aero-optimized Deda cockpit: The Deda VR RCR-F Combo wasn't selected off the shelf — it was designed exclusively for this frame and refined through the same wind tunnel process. The integrated stem and handlebar contribute an additional 2.7-watt aero advantage and are handmade by Deda in Italy.
- Pro-level build with power meter included: Dura-Ace Di2 R9250 derailleurs and R9270 hydraulic disc brakes, Swiss Side Hadron² 625 Ultimate wheels, and a Shimano R9200 crankset with a dual-sided power meter already installed — this is the spec the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team raced in 2025.
Final Take
The RCR-F Pro Team Edition is a specialist, and it wears that designation with confidence. Van Rysel's intended terrain is routes with less than 1,500 meters of elevation gain per 100 km, at average speeds above 35 km/h — spring classics, criteriums, and stage races where the road stays open and the peloton pushes tempo. If your calendar looks like that, this bike arrives fully armed: power meter, aero wheels, World Tour-proven frame. The Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team raced it in 2025. The Team Edition puts the same setup in your hands.
